♥ 。。。more

This was actually very sweet and was better than I expected it to be! Kyousuke’s character has a lot of depth to him despite the story being short。 Mofumofu also was able to convey the magnitude of Kasumi’s pain and isolation in a similar fashion。 Their chemistry is very believable。 I enjoyed reading their “childhood friends getting together” love story over the course of their lives。

This was…darker than I was expecting it to be。 It deals with so many different topics that it was almost to much, but also I kind of wished that some of them were explored more。 I loved the complexity that this manga was able to develop in such a short time。 From seeing Kasumi and Kyousuke’s friendship develop, to seeing them ripped apart by their own inability to see themselves as good enough for the other, to finally finding their way back together。 It was a heartbreaking roller coaster of emo This was…darker than I was expecting it to be。 It deals with so many different topics that it was almost to much, but also I kind of wished that some of them were explored more。 I loved the complexity that this manga was able to develop in such a short time。 From seeing Kasumi and Kyousuke’s friendship develop, to seeing them ripped apart by their own inability to see themselves as good enough for the other, to finally finding their way back together。 It was a heartbreaking roller coaster of emotions。I think the only real objection that I had for this manga, was that the first sex scene felt like it came out of nowhere。 There wasn’t any buildup or anything。 But that might just be a me problem?Anyway! This was a really good, emotionally charged read。 It had some of the best mutual pining, angsty goodness that I could have asked for in a manga。 There Are Things I Can’t Tell You is getting a four out of five stars。 。。。more

I really liked the dynamic between the main characters in this but found it a bit less developed than I'd like。 In fairness, it's a pretty short book and I did enjoy the premise, which may be all that was needed。 I really liked the dynamic between the main characters in this but found it a bit less developed than I'd like。 In fairness, it's a pretty short book and I did enjoy the premise, which may be all that was needed。 。。。more

Quick, not bad。 I like Kyousuke's character design。 Ch。 5, Shimizu: "Just because we make a mistake in life, doesn't mean that things end there。 It only opens new paths。" Quick, not bad。 I like Kyousuke's character design。 Ch。 5, Shimizu: "Just because we make a mistake in life, doesn't mean that things end there。 It only opens new paths。" 。。。more

Not a bad book but the lack of communication/miscommunication made it hard to enjoy the story and the characters motives。 Trigger warnings for depression, internalized homophobia, and parental emotional abuse。

I was not expecting this to be intense pining, traumatic childhood, friends to lovers with a heart wrenching third act conflict but wow was i impressed。 Every heart string i possess was pulled hard and it hurt。 Thankfully the happy ending soothed my suffering because otherwise i don't know what i would have done。。。 I was not expecting this to be intense pining, traumatic childhood, friends to lovers with a heart wrenching third act conflict but wow was i impressed。 Every heart string i possess was pulled hard and it hurt。 Thankfully the happy ending soothed my suffering because otherwise i don't know what i would have done。。。 。。。more

3。5!

Tae

It’s a 2。5。 There was A LOT of what was going on at work, and a little too much of their childhood for me。 I would have liked to focus on the development of their relationship in present day more instead of the project Kasumi was working on。

Not my first manga but my first gay one though。Didn’t realize how spicy it can go。 While the plot is serviceable about two boys dealing with their own sexuality, it does at least opens me up (pun intended) to check out other publications。Here’s to more Gay manga reading in 2023!

Ahhhh, this was soooo cute。 This could've been a five-star read for me, but the miscommunication between these two drove me a little crazy haha。 Also, there are some pretty steamy graphic sex scenes in this book, just something I wanted to mention because I wasn't really expecting it haha, but these two are so PRECIOUS and have the cutest relationship。 This was everything I wanted Anti-Romance: Special Edition Vol。 1 to be when I read that recently。 Ahhhh, this was soooo cute。 This could've been a five-star read for me, but the miscommunication between these two drove me a little crazy haha。 Also, there are some pretty steamy graphic sex scenes in this book, just something I wanted to mention because I wasn't really expecting it haha, but these two are so PRECIOUS and have the cutest relationship。 This was everything I wanted Anti-Romance: Special Edition Vol。 1 to be when I read that recently。 。。。more

This would have been way more compelling if the love interest wasn’t whiny and insecure the entire time。 Crying is not a personality trait!!! I don’t even know why Kyousuke was into him tbh。

I really enjoyed this manga! The pacing was really nice and it was easy to follow along with the plot。 This mangaka did an excellent job of delving deeper into the relationship of the couple and how, over time, they separated but came back together later on in their lives。 I will admit that some of Kyousuke’s behavior was confusing, but it makes sense given his struggle with really identifying what he felt for Kasumi and how to move forward in their relationship。 There was so much angst in this I really enjoyed this manga! “If you’re going to be unhappy… then I want you to be unhappy because of me。” Ah, best way to be toxic unintentionally (¬‿¬)。 I’m jk 😭I adored this so much!!! Although, some of the grammar and words are spelled wrong or missing (in the physical copy), the story is so great。 The characters and their depth, their lives with and without each other, and THE INTENSITY OF UNSPOKEN WORDS? So beautiful。
